Haunted Cemetery High Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
A bronze angel in Oakland Cemetery that turned black through oxidation has become Iowa's most famous paranormal landmark. Local legend holds that the blackening was caused by the sins of the woman buried beneath it — and that touching it at midnight on Halloween will cause death within six months. Orbs are consistently photographed around the statue.
