An 1859 silver mining boomtown moved plank-by-plank to its current site as a tourist attraction, but the ghosts came with it. The old hanging tree produces the most consistent activity — investigators document a man who swings and disappears, cold spots at the base, and rope impressions visible on the bark of a tree from which no rope hangs.
