Carter House
Franklin
Battlefield High Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
The Carter family sheltered in their cellar while the Battle of Franklin raged around their home in November 1864. Over 9,000 casualties occurred within sight of the house. The bullet holes still visible in the walls are a fraction of the damage. Visitors report apparitions of soldiers in the yard, a young man on the porch, and a woman weeping in the back bedroom.
