Ghost Town High Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
Perched 8,500 feet above the Owens Valley, this former silver boom town produced $17 million in bullion and was the financial engine that built Los Angeles in the 1870s. Purchased by young entrepreneur Brent Underwood in 2018, the new owner documented extensive paranormal activity including a fire that burned the historic American Hotel in 2020 under mysterious circumstances and voices caught on his livestream cameras. A miner ghost nicknamed 'Felipe' appears on cameras in the mine entrance, and the hotel's second floor repeatedly shows up on thermal cameras as occupied — when no one is there.
