The boulder-strewn sniper position at Gettysburg is among the most photographed paranormal sites in America. Visitors consistently report cameras malfunctioning, phantom smells of gunpowder, and a barefoot ghostly soldier who offers to guide tourists before vanishing. During the July 1863 battle more than 1,500 men died within a few hundred yards of these rocks.
