Built in 1924 by Senator Alfred James Doherty, friend of Henry Ford. During Prohibition it was a speakeasy and hangout for Detroit's infamous Purple Gang. A vicious murder occurred here — the victim, Isaiah Leebove, is said to haunt the halls. Helen Doherty herself also interacts with guests.
