Enumclaw UFO Corridor

The area east of Enumclaw, at the foot of Mount Rainier, sits in the corridor of the 1947 Kenneth Arnold sighting — the first widely-reported modern UFO encounter, which coined the term 'flying saucer.' The corridor remains one of the most active UFO zones in the US. Arnold's original sighting was over the Cascade Range visible from this area, and sightings have continued in the same airspace for nearly 80 years.
