Forester, Sanilac County — Thumb Michigan
Haunted Building High Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
In 1876, 15-year-old Minnie Quay threw herself into Lake Huron from Smith's dock after learning her sailor sweetheart's ship had gone down. Her ghost walks the beaches of Forester — some say she waits for her lover to dock, while others report she beckons young girls into the water. She also haunts her former house (across from the Forester Inn), the Inn itself, and the Forester Cemetery.
