Denton
Haunted Road High Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
The Old Alton Bridge over Hickory Creek is named for Oscar Washburn, a Black goat farmer who was lynched by the KKK on the bridge in 1938. According to legend, the mob threw him over the rail but when they looked down, the rope was empty. Witnesses since have reported a goat-headed entity, glowing red eyes in the darkness below the bridge, and cars that stall on the bridge.
