Gravity Hill — Spook Hill

At Spook Hill in Lake Wales, cars roll uphill and balls bounce up a slope in apparent defiance of gravity. The Seminole legend explains that a great chief was buried at the base of the hill after slaying a giant alligator that had tormented the village — his spirit now pushes objects uphill to protect the village from the creature's return. Surveyors have measured the hill and confirmed the optical illusion component, but the degree of the roll exceeds what the visual trick alone would produce. The phenomenon has been verified by multiple engineering teams.
