Hell's Bridge
Algoma Township (near Rockford), Kent County — West Michigan
Haunted Road High Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
A dilapidated metal footbridge a quarter-mile hike from Friske Drive in the woods of Algoma Township. The dark legend dates to the mid-1800s — a man named Elias Friske allegedly murdered local children at this location. Reports include hearing a devil laughing, children crying and whimpering, orbs in photos, unexplained rustling and splashing, and screams. While no historical evidence confirms the Friske murders, the paranormal activity is consistently reported. One of Michigan's scariest urban legends.
