Jane Addams' famous 1856 settlement house is haunted by a Devil Baby — allegedly the cursed offspring of a religious woman — whose story spread so widely that thousands came to see it. The baby was never real, but the haunting is: staff report a baby crying, a horned shape at upper windows, and cold spots in the original rooms.
