History & Paranormal Activity
The only royal palace in the United States, where Queen Lili'uokalani was imprisoned after the 1893 overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom. She spent eight months confined in an upstairs bedroom, where visitors and staff consistently report her presence — a woman at the window, the sound of piano music from the throne room late at night, and an oppressive sadness that researchers have measured as a consistent emotional response across unrelated visitors.
