History & Paranormal Activity
Opened in 1930 as the Northland Inn, this distinguished downtown Marquette hotel is haunted by the 'Lilac Lady' on the sixth floor. According to legend, her lover set sail on Lake Superior and never returned. After he was declared missing, she hung herself in despair. She is said to still linger in the Lilac Room, waiting for her sailor to return.
