Letchworth Village

This 1911 state institution for people with developmental disabilities became infamous for overcrowding, abuse, and the first human trials of the polio vaccine on unconsenting residents. Abandoned in 1996, the decaying campus is considered one of New York's most haunted locations, with extensive EVP and apparition documentation.
