Levelland UFO Sightings

On November 2–3, 1957, at least fifteen separate witnesses in and around Levelland reported a glowing egg-shaped object that caused their car engines and headlights to die as it hovered nearby — and restored power as it departed. The sightings lasted four hours and involved multiple law enforcement officers. The Air Force investigation concluded 'ball lightning' was responsible — an explanation that satisfied no one, as ball lightning cannot stall engines. The Levelland case remains one of the most credible physical-effect UFO encounters in recorded history.
