The site of Custer's Last Stand (1876) where 268 US soldiers and an estimated 60-100 Lakota and Cheyenne warriors died. Park rangers and visitors have documented apparitions of Lakota warriors on horseback, sounds of battle, and Custer's ghost near Last Stand Hill. A ranger reported being guided to a lost trail by a soldier in 1870s uniform who vanished when she turned to thank him.
