History & Paranormal Activity
Construction of this eight-story Moorish Revival mansion stopped permanently when Northern workers abandoned their tools in 1861 at the outbreak of the Civil War. The tools still sit exactly where they were left over 160 years ago. The Nutt family lived in the finished basement while the rest stood empty. Visitors report hearing hammering from the upper floors and seeing a bearded man at the windows.
