Lydia's Bridge

Since the 1920s, drivers report picking up a young woman hitchhiking near this bridge who asks to be taken home — and vanishes from the car before arriving. The story predates any written version and has been independently reported by dozens of witnesses over a century. It is considered one of America's most credible vanishing hitchhiker cases.
