History & Paranormal Activity
This 1906 roadhouse near Fairbanks served gold rush miners and hosted Robert Service, whose poems it still displays. The ghost of a miner who froze to death attempting to reach the saloon in a 1912 blizzard is seen at the bar in snow-covered clothes, and staff report a cold pocket near the entrance that persists regardless of outside temperature or heating.
