McMenamins Edgefield — Poor Farm

The Multnomah County Poor Farm operated on this 74-acre estate from 1911 to 1967, housing the destitute, mentally ill, and chronically sick — many of whom died and were buried in an unmarked cemetery on the property. Now a hotel and entertainment complex, McMenamins Edgefield is one of the Pacific Northwest's most frequently investigated paranormal sites. Guests in the Black Rabbit Restaurant report a woman in a nurse's uniform appearing between tables. The Power Station pub — built in the former power plant — captures EVPs of men speaking in short, clipped sentences about work assignments.
