Local legend describes the Melon Heads — small, pale humanoids with enlarged heads who descended from escaped mental asylum patients and have lived feral in the woods for generations. Multiple witnesses report encounters with small figures that flee into the forest, and animal mutilations consistent with the legend occur periodically.
