Between November 1966 and December 1967, over 100 witnesses reported encounters with the Mothman — a seven-foot winged creature with glowing red eyes — near the TNT Area north of Point Pleasant. The sightings culminated with the collapse of the Silver Bridge on December 15, 1967, killing 46 people. The creature is reportedly still seen before major disasters.
