History & Paranormal Activity
One of the few surviving mound groups in the Midwest and one of the best-preserved Hopewell Indian culture sites. Over 1,000 burial mounds once existed in Michigan — more than 95% have been destroyed. These mounds date to the Late Precontact period (1,000-1,600 AD). The Grand River mounds are a rare surviving remnant of this ancient sacred landscape.
