Pali Highway
Honolulu
Haunted Road Extreme Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
The Nu'uanu Pali — where King Kamehameha drove 10,000 warriors over the cliff in 1795 to unify Hawaii — is one of the most paranormally active roads in the Pacific. Local tradition absolutely prohibits taking pork over the Pali at night (it angers Kamapua'a, the pig demigod) — stories of cars breaking down and spirits boarding are consistent across generations. Police and military personnel stationed nearby have filed official incident reports describing encounters.

A 1964 Honolulu Police Department memo distributed to officers stationed near the Pali instructs them not to file official reports for 'disturbance calls involving spiritual activity at the overlook' — citing unspecified 'diplomatic concerns' with a cultural advisory body.
