Raven Hill Discovery Center — Former Sanatorium

The original buildings at this former tuberculosis sanatorium near East Jordan date to the early 1900s when hundreds of patients, many of them children, died of the disease in this isolated northern Michigan setting. Staff at the current educational facility report locked doors opening during the night, children's handprints appearing on windows in sealed rooms, and the smell of antiseptic in areas far from any cleaning supplies. Paranormal investigators document EVP activity concentrated in the oldest dormitory wing.
