The Everglades' own Bigfoot — the Skunk Ape — has been reported since the 1950s. The Headquarters in Ochopee documents sightings and maintains a 24/7 camera network. The creature is described as 6–7 feet tall, reddish-brown, and emitting a powerful odor likened to hydrogen sulfide. Footprints of 17 inches have been cast in the swamp.
