Lost with all 29 crew on November 10, 1975, in one of the most famous shipwrecks in Great Lakes history. The wreck lies in 530 feet of water. Immortalized by Gordon Lightfoot's 'The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.' The nearby Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point houses the ship's bell, recovered in 1995.
