St. Louis Cemetery No. 1
New Orleans
Haunted Cemetery Extreme Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
The oldest surviving cemetery in New Orleans (1789) holds Marie Laveau — the Voodoo Queen — in a tomb that visitors mark with X's to request favors. Her spirit is reported throughout the cemetery, and the cemetery's above-ground tombs create a labyrinth where disorientation, voices, and apparitions are consistently reported. Multiple unexplained deaths have occurred inside the cemetery.
