Mexican soldiers who attempted to demolish the walls after the battle reported being confronted by six demonic figures brandishing flaming swords — General Santa Anna reportedly ordered the demolition halted. Today, rangers and tourists document apparitions in the long barracks, a child seen in the chapel, and cold spots that move against air currents.
