History & Paranormal Activity
After the Civil War, the Union Army herded over 20,000 freed slaves into this enclosed riverside depression. With no shelter, food, or medicine, over 10,000 died within a year. Their mass graves have never been formally located. Visitors report overwhelming grief, apparitions throughout the area, and the sound of children crying from the ravine.
