The Lemp family — St. Louis brewing dynasty — suffered four suicides within the family, all inside this mansion. William Sr., William Jr., Charles, and Elsa Lemp all took their own lives here. The mansion is considered one of America's most haunted buildings, with apparitions of all four Lemps documented, as well as a 'Lavender Lady' and a disturbing entity in the attic.
