The Whaley House
San Diego
Haunted Building Extreme Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
Officially recognized by the US Commerce Department as one of two authenticated haunted houses in the United States, the 1856 Whaley House was built on the site of a public gallows where 'Yankee Jim' Robinson was hanged in 1852. His ghost is heard in the courtroom (the first in San Diego), and Thomas Whaley and his family have been documented in virtually every room.
