Lawler Ford Road — known as Zombie Road — is a two-mile abandoned road through dense forest along the Meramec River where multiple accidental deaths occurred. Hikers report being followed by unseen presences, shadow figures that dart between trees, and an entity known as 'the old man' who chases trespassers to the road's end.
